You are levelling up means simply taking your life to the next level. When you become better, you level up.

To improve one’s life in such a way that feels like a powerful shift. Levelling up is a shift in mindset/transformation. Our perspectives will not stay the same daily; they are forever evolving as part of levelling up. This can mean something different to different people. You are levelling up if you are learning something new each day.

Questions and Reflection:

  1. Who are you?

2.   Who do you want to be?

3.  How are you going to define yourself?

4.   What is going to happen with what you have?

5.  What would you do with your time if you did not have to work for money and live the life you want? How would you spend your time?

6.   What kind of legacy do you want to leave when you die?

7.  What makes you happy? Gives you real joy.

Once you know the person you are and the person you want to be, what do you need to do daily to be that person? Usually, the only thing holding you back is you, as we all have fears and doubts, and we don’t do something we love as people may judge us, think what we are doing is not what they would do, or we are just scared. But, even if you are afraid, give it a go and see what happens, have a plan of action, and do not be too reckless with your decision. For example, do not leave a full-time job that you need to support your family to start your passion business; work your full-time job, and have your passion business on the side. When your passion business is serving your audience and making you money, enough for what you need for your lifestyle, and it is doing this regularly for some time, then that can be when you decide to either work fewer hours in your office job or you could if available to you quit the office job and earn an income from your passion job and at the time serving your customers, whether this is a service business or a product business.

What it means to you?

What does level-up mean to you?

Figuring out what levelling up means to you is vital. There could be many things or just one or two things. So, grab a piece of paper and list things you like to change in your life, big or small.

Is it health, wellness, career, business goals or relationships?

For example, here is a list of things you may have for levelling up. However, there are many more:

1. Moving up the corporate ladder.

2. Having your own business and the freedom to work from where you like, choose your hours, and do what you love.

3. Working on financial goals to provide for your family and give them and yourself the life you deserve.

4. Having healthy, strong, and excellent immunity in health.

5. Learning a new language fluently.

6. Working on your personal growth and reading and doing online courses.

7. Build a website.

8. Introducing a morning routine to your life that serves you best.

9. Improving your public speaking ability.

10. Take up a hobby you love- this will bring out the creative in you.

Have the courage to go after your wildest dreams.

Stop making excuses for not doing what you want. Just start something today.

Levelling up means taking your life to the next level. We all have big dreams and goals and want to make them come true. You must improve, learn new skills, and take new chances to achieve those goals. When you become better, you level up.

5 steps in Levelling up

1.      Produce a plan on how you will be levelling up.

Once you have completed what level up means to you, then you need to figure out what exactly you want to change or what kind of person you want to become. You need to create a plan that is realistic and detailed and takes all the moving objects of your life.

Start off with no more than three goals. If you are new to this, I would recommend one goal to start off with. You can always add another goal as you go along.

Create a vision, start prioritising your life, identify your values, establish goals, and outline an action plan.

Once you have decided which goal(s) you are doing, see if they feel right to you and if they are aligned with your values.

Step 1: Describe this goal in detail.

Step 2: Think and allow some time to write down why this goal is important to you.

Step 3: In this part, you need to think of how you are going to achieve the goal, make it bite-size, and put an end date on the goal. Also, add more dates to this goal due to the bite-size parts.

Step 4: When you have reached your goal, what will success look like?

Step 5: How will this make you feel once you have achieved your goal?

Step 6: How will you reward yourself once it is completed? I would not skip this one, as you want to have something yummy at the end. This does not need to cost a lot of money. It is more of what you like to have and the feeling you will get once completed.

Saying this, you do not need to wait till the end to celebrate - I would recommend celebrating as you reach the smaller goals as well; this will make you happier and feel so much better about reaching your smaller goals as you get to the big goal.

When doing this section, you would be best to allow some time to think and answer the above questions when you are not going to be disturbed; if you can go out for lunch on your own and do this, it will be a fun exercise to do and also to be very clear on what you want, this is not about what other people want from you, it about you and your dreams.

2. Find people who inspire.

You do not need to figure everything out yourself; some people have done the same or similar things, so start studying. Read their books if available and follow them on social media. Learn from them and let them motivate you.

If you feel inspired to get someone that can be your accountability buddy, you can message this person daily or weekly with what you have done, and they can do one for you too. It is much easier to disappoint yourself than someone else.

Please ensure the people you are hanging out with are making you happier and not draining you. There are people you may need to hang out with like extended family; however, with the spare time, you must spend the time with the people who make you truly happy. Then, you can comfortably share what you're doing, and your friends will be pleased.

3.      What skills for you need to learn

If you want to grow, you must be open to learning and do it as a habit daily.

There are many free courses out there and other courses that cost money and others that have a monthly fee; these are great, as the person teaching you has years of experience and will teach you to what they know in a short time. It would help if you researched, found the relevant course or details you are interested in, and then went for it.

Only choose to learn things that matter to you and that you want to practice possible for years to come. Ask yourself what skills and topics you want to learn about. Write down everything you want to learn or what you think would help you on your levelling-up journey, and then find useful resources to learn from.

You might want to commit some time each day to study, or you could listen to podcasts or audiobooks, for example, on your commute to and from work.

Could you swap some tv time for your online study or in-person?

4.      Change your daily routine.

If you want to change your life, you must change what you do daily. To get the most out of your time, you must create a good, productive daily routine supporting your growth and your levelling goals.

Having a detailed daily routine can sound boring, but it can also help you a lot. You have many new habits to build, and a routine will help you.

Please give yourself a minimum of 15 minutes of ‘me’ time.

Eat the frog first means that you do the most difficult tasks first thing in the morning, and this will free up space in your mind to do the other tasks throughout the day and not be worried about this difficult task.

If this is done early, the rest of the day is much better.

You will have more energy by doing it early in the day. It will also make the rest of the day seem easier once the difficult task is out of the way!

5.      Enjoy your life and celebrate the little wins.

Eat well, move your body, drink plenty of water, sleep enough, spend time with your loved ones, and be grateful for your life.

Celebrating small wins triggers feelings of pride and happiness. This helps to keep working towards the next small steps and, eventually, the overall goal.

Make sure that your priorities are self-care for you every day.

To Conclude

To become the beautiful butterfly you are, step into who you are meant to be. You must find your purpose and believe it is worth fighting for!

This is how you will level up.

Thinking about everything you must do to level up can feel intimidating, and you might need help believing in yourself. But keep pushing yourself forward. As I always say, you must take one step at a time. One day it will all be worth it. Also, something is always better than nothing.

Start with a smaller goal for those who do not do goal setting. Also, breaking the goals into bite-size chunks is excellent. Finally, please remember to celebrate your small and large wins.

Would love you to share one of your goal if you can?

Next week – how to have the best morning routine that serves you each day, it doesn't have to be the same each day. We all know that the morning is a great time to set our intention for the day, and if we allow ourselves to get what we want and need each morning, we are fuel for the day.
