A behind-the-scenes look at the Movement From Love journey, how it fits into real life, what changed, what surprised me, and how moving without pressure can begin today.

Introduction
As this journey has unfolded, one question keeps coming back to me, not just for myself, but for anyone reading along.
How can this be used today?
Not understood.
Not admired.
Not saved for later.
Used.
Because change does not happen through ideas alone, it happens when something becomes simple enough to try in the middle of ordinary life. Between commuting. Meetings. School runs. Fatigue. Dinner prep.
If it cannot exist there, it will not exist at all.
So, this is not a reflection from a distance. This is a look behind the scenes at how Movement From Love is actually living inside my real life now.

The Reality Shift: Life Didn't Slow Down
In the past month, I returned to working five days a week in the office.
That alone could have pulled me straight back into old patterns.
Structure. Rush. Performance mode. I ignored my body until the day was done.
But something was different this time.
Because of Movement From Love, I did not try to "fit movement in" the way I used to. Instead, I focused on finding a rhythm that works most weeks while still pausing daily to listen to what my body needs.
Some weeks feel smooth.
Some weeks feel messy.
But the listening stays.
That is the anchor now.
What Movement From Love Looks Like for Me Right Now
Because there is no longer pressure around it, I actually enjoy going to the gym again.
Not because I have to. Because I want to.
Most weeks include:
Three gym visits
One thirty-minute personal training session
Two Pilates reformer classes during my lunch break
Accidental walks through the week that I no longer dismiss as “not real exercise"
This is not a strict schedule. It is a rhythm. One that adjusts depending on energy, work, and life.
And strangely, removing the force made me more consistent than any rigid plan ever did.
The Gap Between Knowing and Living
Most of us already know what we “should” be doing.
We know we need to slow down.
We know we need to listen to our bodies.
We know that pushing harder isn't always the answer.
But knowing is not the same as doing.
Big ideas often feel inspiring yet disconnected from daily life. Movement From Love only works when it becomes small enough to begin again and again.
A Movement From Love Practice That Changed Everything Before I Even Move

One of the most meaningful shifts has been what happens before movement starts.
Before I move, I lie down for five minutes. Thank you to @maya.mental.fitness for introducing this a visualisation practice.
Eyes closed.
Breathing slow.
I visualise:
What I am about to do
How will my body move
How I will feel during
How will I feel after
Not pushing.
Not forcing.
Just meeting myself there first.
Three deep exhales.
Then I begin.
Sometimes I work out for thirty minutes.
Sometimes forty-five.
Longer if I feel it.
There is no rigid plan.
Just listening.
And the last ten minutes?
No music.
No sound.
No doing.
I lie down in stillness.
Letting my body absorb what just happened.
Three deep exhales again.
Here is why this works:
My body feels safe before I start
I move with presence instead of pressure
I finish feeling grounded instead of depleted
This is not just a workout.
It is a relationship with my body.
And I love how I feel before, during, and after.
Why This Matters More Than the Workout Itself
What changed was not the exercises.
It was removing the internal demand to perform.
When the nervous system feels safe, movement becomes supportive instead of stressful.
That changes how we show up, how we recover, and whether we want to come back the next day.
That is why this approach is sustainable inside a full life, not outside of it.
If You Want to Try This Yourself
If movement has ever felt like punishment, try this once.
Five minutes to arrive.
Move in a way that feels right today.
Ten minutes to land.
That is, it.
You do not need to change your whole routine.
Just experience what it feels like to begin differently.
Making Movement From Love "Installable"
Lasting change does not come from dramatic overhauls. It comes from one small step practised in a short time frame.
Take one idea.
Make it doable.
Try it within the next 24 hours.
That is where transformation actually begins.
Your 24 Hour Movement From Love Practice
At some point today or tomorrow, pause and ask yourself:
What would feel supportive to my body right now?
Respond with five minutes of movement.
Nothing structured. Nothing measured.
Finish before you feel you have to.
This teaches your body that movement is not something you must endure. It is something that can support you.
What You May Notice
You may not suddenly move more.
You may feel less resistance.
You may notice how different it feels to begin with permission instead of pressure.
You may feel calmer at the end than when you started.
These quiet shifts are where real change happens.
Let This Be Enough
You do not need a full plan.
You do not need to restart anything.
You do not need to do more.
Just try one small moment of listening.
Behind the scenes, this journey has never been about getting it right. It has been about staying present and responding to what is actually there.
Conclusion
Returning to five days in the office did not end Movement From Love. It tested it. And it showed me that this way of moving can live inside real schedules, real fatigue, and real responsibilities.
If you have been watching quietly, this is your invitation to step into it in a way that feels manageable.
Try it once.
Five minutes to arrive.
Move.
Ten minutes to land.
See what changes.
With love,
Blog 110 arrives on 8 March, reflecting on the Lunar New Year as 2026 welcomes the Year of the Horse, more specifically, the rare Year of the Fire Horse.
And if you're still here, still curious, still noticing, you're already doing the work.
PS: I've also been quietly working on a gentle 21-day journey to help you reconnect with your body through movement.
Not from pressure.
From love.
If something in this blog resonated, I'd love to know. Is this something you'd be interested in exploring when it's ready?

With much Love,

Your body loves you. Love it back.
