Imagine daily to create calm, clarity, and purpose, Mukti Santos’ simple ritual.

Introduction
Just Imagine
Each morning, I set aside five to ten quiet minutes just for myself. Sometimes with a coffee in hand, soft instrumental music playing in the background, I close my eyes, breathe deeply, my hands on my hear and let my imagination take the lead.
It's become one of my most cherished rituals, sitting/lying with myself, even if it's only for five quiet minutes, and imagining the life I'm creating. Not someday, not somewhere far away, but right here, right now.
I see the version of me who feels calm, connected, and fulfilled. The woman who moves through her day with ease, trusting herself fully, no longer second-guessing every choice. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to do the work to get there, yet she also knows when to pause, rest, and be.
It's a holistic rhythm, a reminder that everything is possible, just not all at once.
Over 2025, I've realised that imagination isn't just daydreaming; it's direction, the quiet bridge between where you are and where you're meant to be.
“Everything you can imagine is real.” Pablo Picasso
✨ Reflection: Even five quiet minutes can bring me back to myself and remind me of who I'm becoming.
The Power of Imagining Daily
There was a time when my mornings began in chaos; some days, my daughter would crawl into bed beside us, and before I even opened my eyes, the day had already started.
Kids to get ready, lunch boxes to pack, laundry waiting in the corner, my mind would jump ahead to the next ten things before my feet even touched the floor.
But lately, I've learned to start slower. I lie in bed for a couple of quiet minutes and think of three things I'm grateful for in that moment. It's my simple morning gratitude practice, a gentle reminder that even on busy days, there is always something good.
Of course, the chaos still exists, but something shifted when I began taking just a few minutes each day to imagine my ideal life. It's not always perfect, and to be honest, doing it in bed doesn't work for me. I usually end up drifting back to sleep. Believe me I have tired!
So instead, I've made it part of my rhythm after the kids leave for school, or sometimes while I'm on the bus heading to work. On weekends, I love lying on the floor in my room, facing the window, and letting this practice unfold. I can spend longer if I choose to.
This small pocket of time has become my anchor. It's where I reconnect with who I'm becoming, not by force, but by listening. Gently, quietly, following the breadcrumbs of what feels true.
That's the key for me: when things appear on my path, I try not to get scared or overwhelmed by what they ask of me. I remind myself I don't have to do it all at once. I love the saying "Follow the breadcrumbs." It keeps me curious rather than controlling, open rather than rushed.
So instead of trying to leap ahead, I ask myself a softer question:
💭 What's one small thing I can do today to support myself on this journey, in this exact season of my life?
What is one small thing you can do today?
When I say "imagine," I don't mean wishing or escaping. I mean feeling into the version of me who's already living her perfect day, how she moves through her morning, what her energy feels like, what she eats, wears, listens to, or whispers to herself.
Your body doesn't distinguish between what's imagined and what's real. So, when you visualise calm, joy, and confidence, you begin to align your energy with that version of you. You start showing up for her, one small, sacred moment at a time.
Three Goals to Anchor Your Imagination
Over time, I've realised that having 3 clear goals helps me focus during my daily imagination practice. They ground me when life feels full and remind me of what truly matters.
Currently, my practice focuses on 3 areas that feel deeply connected to the life I'm creating one for myself, one for my husband, and one for my children.
For myself, I imagine the version of me who feels calm, creative, and confident. The woman who shows up for her wellness, makes time to rest, and trusts the pace she's in. I see this business I'm building creating ripples of change. I picture meeting all the amazing mums I'll work with, women ready to co-create a life they love, one that feels expansive instead of exhausting. I can almost feel the energy of those future conversations, filled with hope, laughter, and new beginnings.
For my husband, I imagine us connecting with more ease. I see us laughing together, dreaming together, and creating new memories as a couple and as a family. I see our communication flowing naturally, our bond deepening in warmth and understanding. And I hold a vision for him too, that he finds his own north star, something that truly lights him up, bringing him a sense of joy and purpose that ripples into every part of his life and ours.
For my kids, I imagine the energy I want to bring into our home: patience, joy, and presence. I want to model the calm I hope they'll carry within themselves. I see them laughing, healthy, kind, and curious. I hope they grow up understanding that life will always come with more responsibilities, but that joy and playfulness don't have to fade. I want them to feel the freedom to be children for as long as they can, and to know that kindness, to themselves and to others, is their greatest strength.
These three visions keep me centred. They remind me that imagination isn't only about seeing what's ahead, but about staying connected to what matters most right now. I've learned to hold my intentions softly, trusting that things will unfold in their own time and way. Sometimes what life brings is different from what I imagined, yet it always seems to turn out even more beautifully than I could have planned.
That's what feels right for me at the moment. But depending on what you're craving in this season of your life, you might feel called to turn inward and focus on The Inner You.
When I use this approach, I begin by checking in with three parts of myself: emotional, physical, and purpose.
Emotionally, I ask myself how I want to feel each day. Do I want to feel grounded, light, confident, or joyful? What would help me feel that way more often?
Physically, I tune into my body. What does health and vitality look like for me right now? It could be having more energy, sleeping more deeply, or choosing movement that feels nourishing rather than depleting.
And then there's Purpose. I ask myself what I'm being called to create, share, or nurture in this chapter of my life. It might be something small, like a daily ritual, or something bigger that's been whispering to me for a while.
You don't need to have all the answers. Just start gently. Choose what feels most natural and meaningful for you today. The goal isn't perfection; it's simply to reconnect with yourself and the life you're creating.

How I Practise My Daily Imagination Ritual
My imagination time is simple. It doesn’t need incense, rituals, or even complete silence. Most days, it’s just me sitting outside in the sun, my happy place, after school drop-off. Sometimes it happens in the car once the kids are dropped off, other times on the bus during my commute to work or lying on the floor of my room before my nine-to-five begins.
I often listen to instrumental music when I can, but if I don’t have access to it, that’s fine too.
This practice isn’t about what’s around me, it’s about being present.
Here’s how I like to do it:
Step 1: Breathe
I start with three slow, steady breaths. I feel the air move in and out of my body, allowing my mind to settle and my body to soften. It’s a gentle way to return to myself.
Step 2: See
I begin to imagine what my perfect day feels like. I picture the warmth of sunlight in my home, the lightness in the air, and the ease with which I move through my day.
Step 3: Connect
Lately, I’ve been placing my hands on my heart and closing my eyes, even if I’m sitting on the bus. If someone notices, I don’t mind. This moment is for me, a quiet reminder that I’m safe and supported.
Step 4: Feel
This is where the magic begins. I let the emotions of gratitude, joy, and peace rise up as though they already belong to me. I imagine that energy filling my chest and flowing through my body.
Step 5: Anchor
When I feel ready, I bring my three goals to mind and hold them gently, even if only for a few seconds. I remind myself that these visions are already taking shape, one moment at a time.
Step 6: Act
Before I move on with my day, I ask myself, What’s one small thing I can do today to move closer to that vision?
Imagination is the spark that lights the path, but it’s the small, consistent actions that keep the flame alive.
Recently, I’ve been listening to a video by Joe Dispenza that beautifully ties into this practice. If what I’ve shared resonates with you, you might love it too:
Imagination Meets Real Life
Some days my imagination feels crystal clear. I can see the sunlight shining through the curtains, the calm flow of my morning, and the laughter that fills our home at dinner time.
Other days, it feels cloudy. My mind wanders, I get distracted, and nothing feels aligned. But I still show up, because that’s the point, to keep showing up, even when it’s messy.
Lately, I imagined my perfect life, and it made me cry. Not because I was sad, but because I realised how much I’ve been holding inside. Emotions that have been sitting in my body, unspoken words, truths I haven’t wanted to face. As I sat there, I could almost feel them moving through me, releasing with every tear. It was healing in a way I didn’t expect.
Whatever comes up for you is okay. There’s no right or wrong way to feel. Life moves in seasons, and each one brings its own emotions. We’re human, not robots. We’re meant to feel deeply, our own feelings and sometimes the emotions of others too.
The challenges, the tears, the quiet moments of reflection... they’re not setbacks. They’re seeds. Each one holds an opportunity to grow, to release, and to come home to yourself a little more.
“Within you, there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time and be yourself.” Hermann Hesse
💭 Question: The life I'm imagining isn't waiting in the future; it begins with how I choose to show up today.

When Imagination Feels Out of Reach
There will be days when the vision feels far away. When life feels heavy, noisy, and nothing seems to flow. On those days, I remind myself to come back to the feeling instead of the picture.
I ask myself, what would calm feel like right now? What would peace sound like?
Sometimes imagination isn’t about seeing everything perfectly. It’s about remembering that I have a choice, a choice to focus on something softer, even if it’s only for a few moments.
Even five quiet minutes can shift everything. They can calm my nervous system, change my energy, and bring me back to the version of myself that already exists within.
Start Today, Even for Five Minutes
You don’t need the perfect time, a quiet house, or a brand-new journal. You can start right where you are, today.
Close your eyes for a moment and take a slow breath. Picture the life you’re creating, the one that feels calm, fulfilling, and deeply yours.
Let that vision guide you. Every time you imagine it, you step a little closer to becoming it.
And if you feel ready to go deeper, to explore how imagination, energy, and aligned action can help you reconnect with your purpose and your wellness, I’d love to walk beside you.

Conclusion
Imagination isn’t about running away from your reality; it’s about gently expanding it.
Every time you pause to visualise the life you desire, you remind your mind and body of what’s truly possible. You reconnect to your strength, your calm, and your sense of purpose.
Start today, even if it’s only for five quiet minutes. What do you have to lose? Try it, five minutes is all you need to begin. Those five minutes have the power to shift everything.
You are the ripple.
