Introduction

✨ Blog 100: From Overwhelmed to On Purpose

Back in January 2023, I sat in my kitchen, the kids were loud, the laundry was louder, and my mind was overflowing with ideas that wouldn't leave me alone.

I had this deep, tugging feeling inside… a longing to reconnect with myself, to find "me" again underneath the layers of motherhood, and maybe, just maybe, help other mums do the same.

Fast forward to now, 100 blogs later!

💬 One hundred reflections. One hundred truths. One hundred moments of growth, laughter, learning, and sometimes tears.

And this one, Blog 100, feels like both a beginning and a full-circle moment

My heart honestly feels full (and a little teary 🥹) as I type these words.

When I first became a mum, I was completely overwhelmed.

I didn't know how to trust myself. The world around me had many opinions about what I was doing wrong, but no one spoke about the quiet loss of identity that often accompanies motherhood.

My own needs, passions, and even curiosity were buried under the noise. I wasn't thinking about wellness and or personal growth, I was in survival mode 🫠

Even my love for health and exercise? It felt like something to squeeze in, not something to savour. But something shifted.

Motherhood cracked me wide open. 🌱

It was no longer just about me; I had two beautiful little humans who depended on me, body, mind, and soul. And deep down, I knew:

👉🏽 To raise them well, I had to rise too.

🌈 So I started writing. ✍🏽

And learning. 📚

And resting when I needed to (because rest is not lazy, it’s vital). 😴

I co-created over 20 collaborative blogs with incredible women who inspire me constantly, plus making amazing connections and friendships. Every story, every conversation expanded my growth mindset and reminded me how powerful connection really is.

I experimented. I pivoted. I slowed down. I learned to live more intentionally, even when life felt like chaos.

And now… here we are.

Blog 100. 🥳

And I couldn’t imagine a more meaningful way to celebrate than by handing the mic to the two reasons I started this journey in the first place, Ruben and Veronica. I let them records their answers and then I wrote them into this blog. 💛

Their answers made me laugh until I snorted, pause to reflect, and cry the happiest little tears. You’ll see why.

💬 Interview with My Son: Ruben, nearly 12

ree

aka: the resident fun-seeker, salad-buster,

and future no-rules president

Ruben who is nearly 12, deeply funny,

insightful when he wants to be, and still

thinks I might secretly be a gamer in disguise.

Let’s see what happened when I asked him

some of the same questions…

💬 1. What's one thing about our life together that you think other families would love to copy?

Playing together.

🎮 2. When you see me doing my blog, coaching people, working on my products,  what do you think I’m actually doing?

Playing video games.

😂 To be fair, I do use a laptop, and I do look intense. But alas, no controller in sight.

🧠3. Is there something you wish grown-ups understood better about kids your age?

That we like to play and do a lot of fun stuff and not do cleaning, okay?

Crystal clear. That “okay?” at the end? It was giving final warning.

💖4. When do you think Mummy is the happiest?

When she's either doing her blog or spending time with us as a family.

He notices. Even when it seems like they don’t, they do.

😄5.  When are you the happiest?

When we're doing stuff as a family, or for fun, or like playing, and I really enjoy it.

That right there? That’s the reason behind everything I do.

😵‍💫 6. If someone reading this blog is feeling really tired and overwhelmed, what advice would you give them?”

No idea. No idea at all, okay?

And honestly, same. Sometimes there is no advice. Sometimes we just need a nap.

🎉 Rapid Fire with Ruben

Favourite thing about Mummy? When she plays with us and has fun with us.

🎯 Direct hit to the heart.

Weirdest thing Mummy says? She has a lot of weird sayings. (He's not wrong.)

One food I’d ban forever?

Salad. Salad and salad.🥗🚫

Not a trace of negotiation here.

If Mum had a superpower? Breathing underwater, because then she’ll finally go underwater with us and not just sit at the side.

💦 Noted. (Challenge accepted.)

Mummy is not fan of the cold water!

One rule if you were the boss?

Do whatever you like.🛋🎮🍕 Welcome to Planet Ruben, population: vibes only.

💛 Reflections from Mum

Ruben’s answers were honest, cheeky, and full of heart, just like him. He reminded me that even as he grows up, he still craves connection, fun, and time together.

He doesn’t need me to be perfect.

He just wants me present, even if he does think I’m secretly playing video games. 🎮😉

Because our kids feel when we show up with our whole heart. 💛

💬 Interview with My Daughter: Veronica, 9

ree

aka: my little co-pilot in this wild, wonderful life

Veronica my 2nd child and last child, she wants to be the baby of this household she made that very clear!

Here’s what happened when I asked her a few big questions, and didn’t edit a thing.

💬 1. What's one thing about our life together that you think other families would love to copy?

I love going to Yum cha , movies, all things TV and just having family day out.

Her answers are raw, real, and hilarious.

Basically… pure gold.

🧠2. When you see what I'm doing with my coaching and my products, what do you think I’m actually doing?

I think that you're gaming and messaging your friends.

😂 So basically, all that training and content creation = playing Roblox and chatting in DMs. Love that for me.

💬 3. What something you wish grown-ups understood better about kids your age?

We have to have fun every single day, every single minute. That parents don't assume that we're doing stuff and get mad at us.

This child gets it. Work and play aren’t opposites, they belong together.

😊 4. When do you think I’m at my happiest?

When you're doing your meditation and relaxing and spending time with the family.

She sees the shifts. The groundedness. The stillness. She feels the difference when I’m truly with them.

🌈 5. When are you the happiest?

When I'm spending time with the family and playing and talking with my friends and stuff.

So simple. So beautiful. So easy to forget when we’re caught in the doing.

😩6. If someone reading this blog is feeling tired and really overwhelmed, what advice would you give them?”

Spend time with your family and have some quiet time by yourself.

Yes. Connection and solitude. The recipe for coming home to yourself.

(Also possibly the greatest marketing line ever: “Spend time with your family.” You heard her.)

ree

🎉 Rapid Fire with Veronica (because, of course)

Favourite thing about Mummy? That she's kind and nice and helpful with us.

Weirdest thing Mummy says? She always says sayings no one really knows what it means and is funny.

(Anyone else feel deeply seen right now?)

One food I would ban forever? Broccoli and omelette🚫 No notes. Ban them immediately.

Hahah- I love eggs, with vegetables and cheese!

If Mummy had a superpower, what would it be? Invisibility.Because she can sneak up on us and tickle us at all times if she wasn't visible.

One rule if you were the boss?

There’s no rules. Everyone has fun.

🎈 Let’s all take a page from Veronica’s leadership manual.

💛 Reflections from Mum

Veronica’s answers were funny and wise, childlike and wildly clear. She reminded me (yet again) that our kids are always watching. They’re absorbing the way we speak, rest, laugh, connect, and show up,  for ourselves and for them.

They don’t want us to be perfect. They just want us to be present. And maybe… a little invisible sometimes 😉

Something I Wish People Knew About Me (Mukti)?

That I'm not always as together as I might seem online. I don't think I seem that way online!😉

Yes, I write about growth, wellness, and self-care, but I’ve also had days where the laundry piles up, the kids are arguing, and I'm questioning everything.

I started my blog in January 2023 not because I had it all figured out… but because I didn't.

I was craving reconnection, to myself, to purpose, to joy beyond the to-do list.

I didn't always care about mindset or personal development… but motherhood cracked me open. It made me realise that I had to grow if I wanted to raise my children in a way that felt aligned and loving.

Now, I get to coach, write, and create resources like my Busy Mums Self-Care Reset, not from a place of perfection, but from lived experience.

I still mess up. I pivot. I pause. I nap. I cry. I laugh.

And I try again.

So what I wish people knew is this:

✨ I'm a mum, just like you, figuring it out one beautiful, messy, soulful step at a time.

You're not alone in your overwhelm. And there's space here for you to thrive.

🎉 Rapid Fire Challenge: Your Turn!

Want to join in the fun?

Try these Rapid Fire Questions with your own kids, their answers might just surprise you (or make you snort-laugh like I did 😂).

Conclusion

💫 Thank You

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

For reading. For showing up. For being part of this journey with me.

Writing these 100 blogs has been one of the most healing, humbling, and heart-expanding things I've ever done. Each post has been a breadcrumb back to myself… and, I hope, a gentle nudge for you to do the same in your own way.

Whether you've been here since the beginning, joined halfway, or this is your very first one, I'm grateful you're here. Truly.

This space was born out of my own overwhelm. But with every word written, every story shared, and every message received from one of you, it's become something so much more.

It's become a reminder that we're not alone. That we can grow, rest, cry, laugh, fall apart and rebuild, all in the same breath.

Here's to the next 100.

To slow down.

To choose joy.

To be seen in our full, messy, magical humanity.

And to remember, always, that you are worthy of showing up for yourself. Not someday. Today.

✨ Blog 101 is coming on Sunday, the 26th of October, and it's one from the heart.

If you've ever put your dreams on pause or told yourself “Maybe one day," this blog is your reminder that your dreams are not a luxury: they're a calling. You don't want to miss this.

If you've ever felt like you're just the mum who has to juggle everything, and that wellness or chasing your dreams is something you'll get to one day, maybe when the kids are 18, I get it. Right now, it feels like it's all about the babies (well, are they still babies!)

But here's the truth: your kids don't just want an exhausted and depleted Mum… they want a happy Mum. 💛 And nothing lights them up more than seeing you light up, thriving, fulfilled, and permitting yourself to grow, too. 💫

Live your Life on Purpose!

With much Love,

Mukti 💫
